CANVAS TRANSFERS

 

To create the appearance of an oil painting, most posters can be transferred to canvas. The print is coated with a chemical that seizes the ink allowing the image to be carefully separated from the paper and adhered to artist’s canvas. It is enhanced with the addition of brush strokes which are applied to mimic the artists style. The finished transfer has the same lustrous sheen and rich canvas texture of an original oil painting, for a fraction of the price.

 

GICLEE PRINTS

 

Giclée prints are high-quality reproductions made with new “sprayed ink” technologies. A piece of art is first scanned and then digitally enhanced to precisely match the original fine art. This computerized image is then sent to a high-resolution printer, which reproduces the image by spraying millions of microscopic droplets of ink to create a print. Available on paper and canvas, the superior quality of a Giclée print is comparable to the original art but is substantially more affordable.
